Fremont County
Outdoor Adventures

Golden Hills is working with local partners to host educational outdoor events showcasing Fremont County's incredible natural amenities, including the Loess Hills, rivers, lakes, wetlands, prairies, and woodlands. Fremont County has more public land than most counties in Iowa and is located only an hour from the Omaha-Council Bluffs and Lincoln metro areas. Funding for these events is supported by Fremont County Tourism. Examples of activities include hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, canoeing, camping, and more.
