Forage Walk

Wabash Trace Forage & Plant ID Walk
Thursday, September 12
6:30-8:00pm
Wabash Trace Nature Trail Trailhead-Imogene

Golden Hills RC&D, with support from Fremont County Tourism, will host a nature walk on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail starting in Imogene. Local plant expert and enthusiast Jamie Smidt Fowler will identify trees, shrubs, forbs and grasses and discuss ecology along the trail. The walk will have a special emphasis on fruits and other edible plants, as well as education about invasive species. We will meet at the trailhead in Imogene (by the grain bin showers) at 6:30pm.

The trail is flat and has a crushed limestone surface. Dress appropriately for the weather. We will plan to walk about 2-3 miles.
Event is free and open to the public. No registration required. All ages welcome.
