Loess Hills Winter Camping

Learn about backpacking, camping, and outdoor cooking in cold weather with experienced backpacker and Park Manager Matt Moles.

We will meet at 4:00pm Saturday, hike and camp, and end on Sunday morning. Participants are expected to bring their own gear (a list will be available soon). If you do not have all the gear, we may be able to help procure, and some equipment/supplies can be rented locally. Email [email protected] with questions.
Please note that this is not a survival workshop. Participants should have some tent-camping experience, and come prepared for winter weather. If you are unable to provide camping gear, you may still join for the hike but not the camping portion. If you would like to hike but not participate in the overnight camping, please email [email protected].
