Lewis & Clark Trail

The Frontier Iowa Trails group, spearheaded by Pottawattamie County Conservation Board, is working to implement wayfinding signage for the Lewis & Clark Trail, which follows the Missouri River from Sioux City to Hamburg. The route is primarily on-road but includes off-road trails where available. The route runs concurrently with the Adventure Cycling Association's Lewis and Clark Trail and U.S. Bicycle Route 55.

Project leaders worked with RDG Planning & Design to complete a sign plan, with wayfinding signage installed in 2020.
