Countywide Trail Plans

Golden Hills is working with the National Park Service's Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program to develop countywide, multi-use trails plans for Page and Fremont counties. We are also supporting similar projects in Harrison and Montgomery counties.

Several public meetings were held in early 2018 to identify and map preferred trails and on-road bike routes. For the most up-to-date information, visit the Facebook page for Fremont County Trails and Page County Trails.

Pottawattamie, Mills, and Shelby counties have all completed the RTCA program and are working to implement their countywide trails plans. Representatives from each county are part of the Frontier Iowa Trails network that is working to develop a regional trails system across county lines.
