In 2004, the United States is observing the
Bicentennial of the Corps of Discovery’s journey led by Captains
Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. The Corps traveled the Missouri
River between Iowa and Nebraska in 1804 and, again, in 1806. You’ve read about the Lewis and Clark journey, now you can do the things they did. Get your "Passport" to learn the Lewis and Clark story through interactive sessions at nine locations along the Missouri River in Iowa and Nebraska – June 14, 2004 to August 13, 2004. See map for locations. This unique Passport entitles you to participate in 15 passport events being held in honor of this bicentennial in communities near the Missouri River in Iowa and Nebraska.
