About the Passport Program

In 2004 through 2006, the United States is observing the Bicentennial of the Corps of Discovery’s journey led by Captains Meriwether Lewis and William Clark.  The Corps traveled the Missouri River between Iowa and Nebraska in 1804 and, again, in 1806.

This unique Passport entitles you to participate in 11 passport events at 5 different locations being held in honor of this bicentennial in communities near the Missouri River in Iowa and Nebraska .  Take advantage of this great opportunity to learn and experience more about the journey of Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery.

Your Passport is intended to provide you with a keepsake of your journey and is valid June 20th - August 13, 2005 . Passport Booklets are free for distribution to participants in Passport Education Program sessions.

To get your free passport picture, visit the Harrison County Historical Village and Welcome Center on Wednesday’s to have your picture taken. The Harrison County Historical Village is located east of Missouri Valley , Iowa on US 30.
